The 2009 National Winners were from Rocky Mountain Middle School, Idaho Falls, and they took 1st place at National History Day for their Junior Group Exhibit “Buster Hill: One Stamp at a Time”.
National History Day in Idaho is one of the premier academic enrichment programs in the state, impacting hundreds of students in grades 4-12 annually. The program provides an exciting way for students to research historical issues, ideas, people and events and to present their findings through exhibits, documentaries, web sites, performances, and historical papers through a series of contests at regional, state and national levels.
There are six regional level contests around the state.

Regional winners advance to the National History Day in Idaho state contest held Friday, April 16th at the College of Idaho, 9:30 – 3:30. State winners qualify to compete in the National History Day contest, June 13-17 at the University of Maryland.
